La Carrera Panamerica is done for another year and I’m so impressed with our guys on Team California’s Best. They have represented The Garage well with a stage win and a podium. They finished 9th overall and 3rd in Historic C, which is incredible for a virgin rally team. Remember that while Gary Faules and Team CBR have many years of winning road races under their belts, they have never rallied and were driving a brand new car! Just an fabulous performance!
Upon their return to Silicon Valley, I’m sure that Gary will have more than a few stories to tell along with tons of photos for our readers to drool over. You know there will be lots of video too!
For now, we these photos are courtesy of the La Carrera home site.

Hey hold on a second! You better go re-read the scores. You only looked at six days of racing but there was 7. I am proud to tell you we finished third in class and 9th overall!!!
WooHoo!!!! That’s even better!
I thought they had updated already when I looked!!
Thanks to The GarageBlog for the excellent write ups. In total we podiumed three times, took third overall and 9th in place with a two barrel carb engine against primaraly four barrel cars and one illegal car but everyone down here knew about it. Hey, there’s always has to be one in every crowd dosen’t there.
On a side note, there where several Canadians who ran with us this year in some very impressive cars all of which we became good friends with. One of them who we became very close too is Al who was a retired after 35 years as a Canadian Mounty. He’s the kind of guy who makes you laugh from the second you meet up with him and cry when you have to part company. He is yet another awesome represenative of how I feel in general about Canucks. Gotta love them all.
Leave it to those wacky Canadians to make sure people have a great time racing!
Can’t wait to hear more stories!
