1964 12 Hours of Sebring caught on home video

We tend to take video for granted these days, given that just about every point and shoot camera can take some fairly decent footage to be shared online just moments later. Fortunately for us, some folks back in the day took the time to film some racing and are now able to share them online as well.

Thanks to Lou Galanos for providing the photo above of the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe of Bob Holbert and Dave MacDonald, courtesy of Racing Sports Cars and Bill Stowe. After the break, Lou has provided a fabulous video from the 1964 12 Hours of Sebring courtesy of Mario Levetto. If you look closely, you’ll see the Daytona in action in the video.

I love the people standing right next to the track and sitting in lawn chairs.. and even what looks like a new Falcon sitting right where a car could smack it…
